Soccer Highlights featuring ACDC’s Thunderstruck

With one of the best rock songs of all time as the featured track this video already wins with me – but there are also great football being shown as well. The vid starts a little slow but just like ACDC and the song “thunderstruck”, it gets better as it goes along. Some highlights include one of the best Beckham goals of his career and some great footwork displays by Ronaldo.

The highlight for me in this video is Ronaldinho, his skill is undiniable but what I love about him is his joy for the game, it is pure and child like – always inspiring. The song is La Bomba by Eddy Wata, an African dance music artist.

Move over dancing Homer, it’s dancing Maradona. This is just a great video of Diego Maradona warming up before a game and he is just mesmorising with the football. In fact, he is even entertaining without the ball, watch that flubber fly. The song is Life is Life by the Austrian band Opus and it was originally released in the mid 80’s and topped the charts in many countries.

My Face Hurts So Much – Football Bloopers

One of the funniest football blooper videos I’ve seen. Homer Simpson would love these soccer bloopers as they are all of players getting hit with the ball. Pay attention and you will notice that FC Barcelona are the usual suspects delivering the balls – maybe that’s why they are so good. Even Cristiano Ronaldo gets featured twice and better yet he is the one receiving the shots. The music is by Hombres G and the song is called “Me duele la cara de ser tan guapo”, loosely translated meaning “my face hurts so much for being so good looking”. A perfect fit.

Lionel Messi Top 30 Goals with FC Barcelona

In honor of Lionel Messi’s four goal performance for FC Barcelona over Arsenal FC in EUFA Champions League (including a remarkable first-half hat-trick), here is a highlight video of Messi’s best 30 goals in his career with Barça. If he continues to play like he did today Messi will rule the World Cup in South Africa, not only winning the golden boot for most goals but may lead Argentina to a World Cup Championship. Maradona himself, who calls Messi his successor, has recently exclaimed “ I thank God that Messi is Argentinean”.
